Meeting Our Local Experts in Gabala

At Trip8, what sets every journey apart are the locals who craft it. This May, we set out for Gabala to get to know these people more closely, meeting our local experts Anar and Ulvi. Our goal was clear: to strengthen our work together and build even better offers for our travelers.

Anar: village life and equestrian culture

Anar shares Azerbaijani village life, equestrian culture, and centuries-old rural traditions with guests.

Traditional Gabala Village Dinner with Local Hosts

Our meeting took place around a lunch table at one of our guesthouses in the village, at the home of Uncle Chingizkhan. Uncle Chingizkhan and his wife, Sevinj, welcomed us like family. As we tasted the home-cooked dishes Sevinj had prepared, Uncle Chingizkhan shared with us the memorable moments he had lived through with travelers over the years.

This meeting showed once again that Anar approaches his work with professionalism and warmth. For us, that is the real value.

Ulvi: mountain and nature guiding

Our regional mountain and nature expert is Ulvi Aslanbeyli. A geography teacher by profession, Ulvi has been guiding on mountain and nature trails for 10 years. Over that time he has completed numerous routes across all regions of the country, including peaks above 4,000 meters.

Together we discussed the mountain, waterfall, and highland trails we could explore in the region. We will share these routes with you soon.
